School Rules

SCHOOL RULES
  • Conduct themselves with dignity.
  • Respect all school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the wall or damage things belonging to others.
  • Be Environment friendly (care for plants and desist from littering school premises, using polybags, etc.)
  • Be courteous, and respect staff and fellow students.
  • Refrain from unruly behavior like running in the corridors shouting and shrieking in school premises or aggressive behavior towards peers be it physical, verbal or cyber related.
DISCIPLINE
  • All students must abide by the “School Decorum” at all times.
  • Use of foul language will lead to very strict disciplinary action.
  • Damage to school property should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the in charge. Any damage done will be made good by the one who causes it. Such an incident will be dealt with severely. Any one who notices something damaged should report the matter even if he or she does not know who has done it.
  • Bursting Cracker or throwing colour on one another or painting faces with in the school premises is forbidden.
  • Students are not permitted to bring playing cards, sports equipment like football, leather ball, mobile telephones, Ipods, Ipads, Walkman, discman or any other electronic items to school. Should these be found with a student during school hours or being used on school campus they shall be confiscated immediately.
  • Student must desist from littering the school campus and the canteen area. Any student found littering will be penalized.
  • Student/Parents should not being visitors to school without the prior permission of the Principal.
  • Student must carry their I-Cards, the student must inform the class teacher immediately.
  • Parents are required to inform the school if there is any change in their address and telephone numbers. Parents are responsible for updating their details at school office.
UNIFORM
  • Students are expected to attend the school in proper school uniform and be neatly dressed at all times, with hair properly trimmed. Girls with long hair need to ponytail or plait it as appropriate. Boys need to have short hair.
  • Students are not allow to wear make-up or jewellery to school coloured ear rings and band on the hands are not permitted.
  • Mehandi on hands, nail varnish and streaking or colouring of hair is not permitted.
  • Symbols specific to a particular religion are permitted. Any religious clothing should be in school colours.
  • It is necessary for students to be in uniform if they come to school on holidays for extra classes or any other work.
PUNCUALITY/LEAVING SCHOOL PERMISES
  • Punctuality is essential and students must report to school on time.
  • Students who come by their own transport must be in school 10 minutes before the start of school. Students who come late to school shall be sent home after three warnings and marked absent.
  • No student can leave the school campus during school hours without the permission of the Principal/Incharge.
ATTENDANCE UNIT TESTS /EXAMINATIONS
  • Students must have a minimum of 75% attendance during in academic year to qualify to appear for the Annual Examination.
  • No student who is medically unfit will be allowed to take unit test/examinations (No student will be permitted to leave school after a unit test), Parents are requested not to encourage their ward to come to school only for tests.
  • In case student does not appear for a Unit Test/Examination due to illness, parents must ensure that a medical certificate is sent on the 1st day the student attends school after the illness.
  • All unit test, examination answer papers and Report Cards must he signed by parents.
GUIDELINES TO PARENTS
  • Wards should report to school in time, being all the necessity books according to the time table and be neatly dressed in proper uniform.
  • Your wards should have 75% attendance by the 28th Feb. falling which, they will not be permitted to appear for the examination. They will also not be considered for any prizes.
  • Read the remarks made in the diary and duly respond.
  • Regularly attend Parent Teacher Meeting whenever informed.
  • Collect report cards personally on the day of the Declaration of Results.
  • Ensure that no teacher is approached when she is in the class. In case of any need, prior appointment may be sought through the diary.
  • In case of any change in your address and contact number notify the school office and the class teacher in writing.
  • Wards should not carry any expensive articles to school. In case they are lost, the school is not responsible for it.
  • Students are not permitted to leave the school premises during the school hours unless it is an emergency for which the Principal’s office should be contacted.
  • Encourage your wards to find pleasure in doing personal chores themselves. Let them learn dignity of Labour.
  • Encourage your ward to speak English Listening to English news and reading English newspaper should become a part of his/her routine.
  • Inculcate in the minds of your wards, the habit of respecting teacher & school. They must also to give due respect and regard to elders at home and outside.
  • We always encourage communication, your suggestions are valuable to us.
ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL
  • Parents are requested to notify the school should a child be unwell and is likely to be absent for more than 5 working days.
  • Students who have been sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on the first day of joining school.
  • All students returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious diseases should produce a doctor’s certificate permitting him/her to do so.
  • Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.
    • Chicken Pox - Till the complete falling scabs.
    • Measles - Two weeks after the rash disappears.
    • Mumps - Until the swelling has gone, about one month.
    • Whooping Cough - Four Weeks.
    • Jaundice - Four Weeks.
  • Leave can be granted on special grounds.
  • Parents should fill up the “Records for Non-Attendance” for each day the student is absent from school stating the reasons for absence.
WITHDRAWALS/STRIKING OFF NAME
  • Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds:
  • Gross misconduct/indiscipline/Non Payment of Fees.
  • Consistent failure in payment of fees before due date.
  • Absence without leave or explained absence for a considerable period of time.
SAFETY AND SECURITY RULES

We believe in keeping our children safe and their safety comes first. In order to ensure safety and security of our children, we request your cooperation in the following aspects.

  • You are requested to report only at the reception for any correspondence with the office/ teaching staff and wait at the reception for further instructions.
  • Parents who come to pick their wards are advised to come 10 minutes before the dispersal time with their parent/guardian Id Card. Entry into the school without the relevant identity card will not be permitted.
  • Exit during school hours is allowed only in case of extreme emergencies with a Gate pass made after written approval by the Principal/Headmistress. Also, student will not be allowed to leave with anyone other than the persons having Id card issued for the purpose.
  • For us to communicate to the parent quickly in case of emergency, please make sure that you fill the personal information form in the School Almanac. In case of any change in your Address/ Phone no. kindly give an application to the Class Teacher and in the School Office.
  • Parent must inform the Class Teacher in writing about medical needs of their wards, if any.
  • Due to Security reasons Parents/ Attendants are not allowed to send any Eatables/ Tiffin boxes/Water Bottles to their wards after school begins.
  • Ensure that the students do not carry any pointed objects to school including metallic water bottles and steel scale.
